Study Regulations Diploma Programme in Pharmacy



Admission requirements for the procedure to obtain a Pharmacy  Degree at Saarland University


The prerequisite for admission to the course is a certificate demonstrating  that the second part of the Pharmaceutical Examination according to AAppO (Licensing Regulations for Pharmacists) has been passed.

The following must also be submitted:

  • A written application for admission to the course addressed to the Chairman of the Degree Committee
  • Enrolment at Saarland University (time to complete the degree dissertation  and degree procedure).

The Diploma theses is (as a part of Pharmaceutical Sciences) to be submitted to  the Examination Secretariat in five copies. The time required to write the thesis is nine months. The topic of the thesis and submission date are to be recorded (registration form available from the Examination Secretariat).

The Diploma colloquim, wich usually takes place in six to eight weeks after the submission of the thesis, includes a presentation by the candidate of about twenty minutes and a discussion, also of twenty minutes.
